Making the most of a small galley kitchen.

This small galley kitchen was redesigned to increase functionality and flow. The completed product sports a bright new finish with classic elements such as the butcher block counter-tops, wainscoting back-splash, a large farm house sink, and rustic sliding door covering the stacked washer and dryer.

An awkward layout and  finishes created a dark and dated feel.

Moving the location of the fridge opens up the kitchen to dining room and creates extra counter space. Track lighting replaces the old florescents, making cooking so much more enjoyable.

Making a cramped, dark bathroom bright and inviting.

This four bedroom house with children needed a revised bathroom- the only one in the house. One that felt mature for the adults, but a touch whimsical for the kids. A complete face-lift, along with fixing some decay in the shower surround, made this bathroom an inviting, light filled space that kids and parents felt comfortable sharing.

Increased storage and bright surfaces allows for a clean and organized look.

Capturing the eye

Redesigning or resurfacing a fireplace turns a 1960s or 1980s living room into a modern or timeless gathering space. It's a smaller project, but it can completely change the feel of a living room.

The old fireplace had a faux white-brick surround and a thin shelf serving as the mantel.

The same fireplace got a new live edge cedar mantel, a craftsman surround, a poured concrete hearth, and kept the original (1930s) grill. That's a classic look.

This northwest inspired stacked stone surround and bulked up mantel makes a cozy living room you want to share with guests.

Make a statement with a refreshed exterior

An old paint job and neglected yard-space gave a dilapidated feel to this house. The exterior was in need of some serious attention. A new front door invites people into your home. A new fence secures your yard and creates a safe place for kids and pets to play freely. New paint serves a protective function for your siding as well as can make a statement to your neighbors. A matching garden shed out back holds your tools or your gardening equipment. New landscaping brings pride every-time you pull in the driveway. What exterior upgrades does your house need?

They just don't make furniture like they used to. Toss-able particle board construction that every other house on the street has gives way to unique statement pieces with furniture designed or re-created by the Sandovals.

An old railroad support and a pair of industrial brackets create an accent piece at home in many design schemes.
